Handing over of newly renovated Bhidla Junior Primary School

Patrice Motsepe, the Executive Chairman of African Rainbow Minerals (ARM) and the Minister of Home Affairs, Mrs. Nkosazana Dlamini-Zuma, today handed over the newly renovated Bhidla Junior Primary School to the community of Kwa Bhidla in eNkumba, the headmaster, teachers and pupils of the school.

ARM spent approximately R1 million to rebuild the school after it was severely damaged by heavy storms. The renovations extended to the building of new walls, the installation of new windows and new roofs, new ablution facilities and a new kitchen. In addition new water tanks and gutters as well as burglar proofing was installed and the whole school was repainted both inside and outside.

Patrice Motsepe said: “we are pleased to make a humble contribution towards the rebuilding of the school. The education of our children and upliftment of our communities is important for the future of our country.”
